Do you ever doubt yourself or your decisions? Do you doubt that you are a good human being, doing all that you can to help others? Do you doubt that you are a great parent, spouse or partner? Do you doubt things that are outside your areas of influence, especially at work?
That’s OK, really, because doubt hits everyone at one time or another. Doubt is part of the human condition. The curious thing about doubt, even when it rears its ugly head, is that you start questioning the ‘doubt’ itself!

You may fear starting a new project, going to a new place, starting a new job, thinking about great things you can do with your life.
The only solution to doubt, especially self-doubt, is to do it anyway.
Walk right into your fear, which is what doubt is based in, fear- and do it. Take a chance that you can finish what you start, even if you don’t think you are good at it, whatever ‘it’ is.
Whatever you think about doubt, doubt is not about your truth. Doubt comes into play when you have an underlying fear of something you have not experienced before.
One way to overcome self-doubt, is to take that chance and be brave. Step by step, you will overcome this uncertainty about yourself and be more confident. Take a step forward and practice your self-confidence; this will help you overcome any doubts you have, even if in incremental steps.
