Are you one of them or are you just on your way to being fat and unhealthy?
You sit in front of your computer on Zoom all day, you don’t move your body and you eat pizza, hamburgers, candy, mac and cheese and other foods that are a danger to your body and mind.
For those of you who are back at the office, you have office food perks; your company provides them not because they like you, but so you will like them!
The expenditure on food and snacks costs the company very little money compared to the cost of replacing you as an employee.
You are gaining weight, getting unhealthy yet the company has no health benefits to support you with your personal fitness. Or you no longer have health benefits because you have been laid-off.
What are you supposed to do?
First of all, just say no to any of the foods that do not work for you.
Make your own lunch; include healthy snacks.
Then, start walking. Walk around your house or neighborhood every hour or so to get your blood moving.
Take the stairs; find hills to climb.
Check out your blood pressure frequently. You can accomplish this in many ways: Fire departments provide free BP tests; most pharmacies provide BP stations and be sure to have your BP taken at the same time of day as the prior tests; you can purchase your own BP cuff for a very reasonable amount.
